Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead role in several dramas on television. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this diva. Alexandra's professional career has included participate in several notable international and national projects. The projects comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was an active member of jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
